Mini Node

The hardware for phase 1 and 2 of the project used an off the shelf chip which implements 4FSK modulation in the 400 or 900 MHz bands. The Nucleo board is a development vehicle, the mini-node is an end-user device.

  • NucleoCC2. An off the shelf evaluation board that supports 4fSK in the 400MHz band, but is limited in output power. Has a built-in debugger that can be used for programming and software development. Available from electronic distributors.
  • Mini Node. An end-user device that attaches to a Pi Zero host processor, delivers a full +20dBm output, has limited debugging capability and is field upgradeable.

Production Status

The Nucleo board is in distribution as long as supplies last. Due to a lack of availability of the Pi Zero and the WL33, the mini node has been put on hold indefinitely. Both nodes are supported by the unified firmware platform.
